Our certification activities
DCI Group offers certification activities for maritime products and pleasure craft in accordance with applicable European directives. Our services focus on assessing products based on objective evidence, with the aim of determining compliance with relevant technical and legal requirements.
Our activities are structured in accordance with the requirements of product certification under ISO/IEC 17065 and focus on the following guidelines:
CE certification of pleasure craft (RCD 2013/53/EU)
DCI Group carries out certification activities for pleasure craft and partially completed vessels.
Within this guideline, we offer the following tracks, among others:
Post Construction Assessment (PCA) for existing vessels
EU type examination (Module B + C)
Product inspection (Module F)
These activities are aimed at both new builds and existing vessels brought to the European market.
MED inspection of maritime equipment (2014/90/EU)
For maritime equipment, DCI Group offers certification activities under the Marine Equipment Directive (MED).
The focus is on selected product groups, including:
Propulsion engines for rescue and rescue boats
Rescue equipment
Within this guideline, we implement:
EU type examination (Module B)
Product inspection (Module F)
These activities are aimed at ensuring the safety and conformity of equipment used on board ships.
Scope and accreditation
DCI Group is currently undergoing the accreditation process with the Dutch Accreditation Council (RvA). Certification activities are being carried out within this scope and in preparation for formal accreditation.
The services provided by DCI Group are limited to the guidelines and product groups described above. Activities outside this scope are not performed.
